Dear Colleagues,

It is with a very heavy heart that I convey the sad news that Professor Chris Floudas passed away yesterday in Greece. Chris has been a principal pillar of the CAST community and one of the most respected scholars in the world. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a genuine friend, a caring mentor, and a dedicated researcher.

His funeral will take place in Greece on Wednesday. A memorial service in his honor is being scheduled at Texas A&M.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they deal with such a calamity.

He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace!
