Hello all,
I hope your semesters are off to a great start! I wanted to reach out and let everyone know that the first meeting of iDiversity will take place this Wednesday, September 14th. I'm attaching a flyer with full details about that meeting. If you can't make it to the Wednesday meeting, we also have a meeting scheduled for Monday, September 26th that will cover the same information.
Some more information on iDiversity:
iDiversity is open to all graduate students in the iSchool. Our mission is to promote awareness of inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility within the information professions. This takes the form of workshops, reading groups, community projects, and fundraisers/drives. Students interested in social justice and activism are encouraged to join us. If you are an online student or can't make our in-person meetings for whatever reason, you are still more than welcome to join us--we have several projects that can be completed entirely online, and we are happy to arrange virtual meetings via google hangout or skype.
If you have any questions about iDiversity or our meeting schedule, please don't hesitate to be in touch. Looking forward to seeing many of you soon!
Best,
Lindsay
