Subject: Unsung Heroes of UMD Description: Unsung Heroes of UMD is an organization that focuses on promoting awareness & appreciation for the workers on college campuses who work hard and keep the university running behind-the-scenes but often go unrecognized and unappreciated. We highlight the workers on social media – Humans of New York style. These unsung heroes include Janitors, Food & Service Workers, Construction Workers, Security Guards, etc. We interviews these workers and shares their personal stories in hopes of highlighting their portraits of humanity through photography and dialogue.
