The University of Massachusetts Lowell, Department of Chemical Engineering
invites you to the 2017 Biomanufacturing Summit on May 22-23, 2017. This
year's theme is “Beyond mAbs (Monoclonal Antibidy)”. The summit will have
the following 4 sessions.

Session 1. Cell therapeutics Dev. and Mfg. – Advances and Challenges
    Session 2. Biomanufacturing Innovation
Session 3. Protein therapeutics Dev. and Mfg. – Advances and Challenges
Session 4. Gene therapeutics Dev. and Mfg. – Advances and Challenges

21 Biomanufacturing leaders including the following two plenary speakers are
sharing their perspectives.

Morrey Atkinson, PhD, VP of Biologics Development, Bristol-Myers-Squibb
Lucinda Buhse, PhD, Director of OTR, OPQ/CDER/FDA

We are also planning a 3-days short course on Advanced Industrial
Bioprocessing. We have been able to recruit key professionals from industry
and academia. The short course will be hosted at the same place following
the summit. The 6 modules are

M1. Upstream bioprocessing (Prof. Carl Lawton, UMass Lowell)
    M2. Downstream bioprocessing (C. Gillespie, M. Holstein, A. Gupta,
Downstream Bioprocessing, MilliporeSigma)
M3. Analytical technology in bioprocessing (Jason Starkey, Sr. Director,
Pfizer)
M4. Cell-therapy (Julie Murrell, PhD, Head of Cell Therapy
Bioprocessing, MilliporeSigma)
M5. Gene-therapy (Prof. Gao Guangping, Director, Horae Gene Therapy
Center and Vector Core, UMass Medical)
M6. Process Analytics in Bioprocessing (Prof. Seongkyu Yoon, UMass Lowell)
