Subject: Ophthalmic Technician Opening - Rockville Description: Two physician eye surgical practice in Rockville, MD seeks an energetic, versatile and personable individual to perform a wide range of medical and administrative activities. This is a great opportunity for both recent college graduates and experienced techs! We are seeking those interested in healthcare who like to work directly with people. Many of our former assistants have gone on to graduate school to become physicians, physician assistants, nurses and optometrists. Clinical duties include using high-tech computerized instruments for measurements, screening patients for exams, measuring vision, history taking, and setting up instruments for surgical procedures. Administrative responsibilities include reception and scheduling. We provide you with materials to rapidly learn the above procedures. Salary starting $15 - $25 per hour depending on the skills and experience. Salary will be increased according to work ethic and accomplishments.
