      Assistant or Associate Professor - SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING

The William G. Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomolecular 
Engineering seeks highly qualified candidates for a tenure-track 
Assistant or Associate Professor in Process Systems Engineering.


        Description

This position is partially funded by Ohio State’s *Sustainable and 
Resilient Economy program (SRE)* in the*Discovery Themes Initiative* 
<https://discovery.osu.edu/>, a substantial faculty hiring investment in 
key thematic areas in which the university can build on its culture of 
academic collaboration to make a global impact.

The candidate should be working in the area of process 
systems engineering with a track record and strong interest in 
contributing to efforts toward sustainable manufacturing. Opportunities 
are available for collaborative research toward sustainability and 
resilience of engineering systems through Ohio State's SRE program by 
working with interdisciplinary research teams.

Areas of interest include but are not limited to process control and 
process design.


        Qualifications

Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline, as well 
as a strong commitment to research. Competitive applicants will have a 
strong record of scholarly publication with the potential to sustain 
externally sponsored research funding, and will demonstrate a commitment 
to teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The incumbent should demonstrate intellectual leadership in their 
research field and a record of leading or working with interdisciplinary 
research teams.
