Subject: Summer Research Experiences at the interface of mathematics and biology Description: The 2018 NIMBioS Summer Research Experiences (SRE) for Undergraduates will be held May 29 – July 20, 2018 at NIMBioS on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Participants from all over the country work in teams with NIMBioS postdocs and UT faculty on research at the interface of mathematics and biology. Participants receive free university apartment-style housing, a stipend of $4100, and up to $650 of support for travel to/from Knoxville. Who may apply? Students enrolled in an undergraduate program and not scheduled to graduate prior to August 1, 2018 may apply. International students enrolled at undergraduate institutions within the U.S. are welcome. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, or students on a visa status that allow them to work in the U.S. for this paid internship program (no exceptions).
