Subject: Research training opportunity Description: Program Description: Calcium signaling laboratory @ Washington DC VA Medical Center has a long-standing record of helping UG students/post-bacs get into the Medical/Dental/Pharmacy and PhD program. Students will get a chance to be involved in exciting multidisciplinary research opportunities to acquire skills and knowledge across the field in Biomedical Science including Cell Biology, Physiology and Biomedical Engineering. This interdisciplinary research training will trigger the passion in science, give the students a competitive edge in both academia and industry, and help them become leaders in these new emerging research fields. We expect the students to undertake multi-faceted approaches to problem solving and develop critical skills applicable for future endeavors. Students will be given opportunities to be trained in a wide-array of scientific fields, including: cell culture, cell imaging, signal transduction, physiology and biomolecular analysis.
