Participate in a Language Learning and tVNS Study (Running now through Spring Break!)

Two studies are recruiting participants! Complete questionnaires and computerized cognitive and foreign-language learning tasks. Some sessions will also involve transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS).

·         Vocabulary/Grammar: 5 sessions on 5 consecutive days

o   Also involves heart rate monitoring

o   Monday, Friday sessions are at the Patapsco building and are 2 hours each

o   Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday sessions are at H.J. Patterson Hall and are 1.25 hours each

o   $155 total ($10/session until last session)

·         Speech Perception: 3 sessions

o   Also involves electroencephalography (EEG) and pupillometry

o   All sessions are at the Maryland Neuroimaging Center

o   Session 1 is 1.25 hours

o   Sessions 2, 3 are within 2 days of each other and are 3 hours each

o   $145 total ($10/session until last session)
