NSF supported "Foundational & Applied Data Science for Molecular and Material Science & Engineering"
This conference gathers foundational and applied data science experts on the latest machine learning methods and applications in molecular and materials science and engineering—relevant information for academic, industrial, and national-lab developers or practitioners of data science across this broad domain.
May 22-24, 2019
Lehigh University | Bethlehem, PA
Registration deadline: May 1
The specific focal area of the conference is the development and application of data science algorithms and tools to address problems in molecular and materials science and engineering (i.e. any problem spanning the length scale of atoms to bulk materials).
invited talks from more than two dozen speakers from academic, national lab and industry affiliations; and,
a poster session, open to all attendees, to informally present and share their efforts among a community of similar and complementary research interests.
SUPPORT PROVIDED BY:
NSF TRIPODS+X AND LEHIGH
The National Science Foundation's TRIPODS+X program seeks to foster relationships between researchers in science & engineering domains and foundational data scientists. Lehigh's Institute for Data, Intelligent Systems, and Computation (I-DISC) is hosting a set of specialized workshops on the topic of machine learning as it applies to a variety of emerging applications and academic pursuits. Visit wordpress.lehigh.edu/indisc for news about upcoming topics and workshops.
