Subject: Summer-Fall positions for undergraduate science illustrators and animators Description: The Joint Quantum Institute is looking for undergraduate students with a strong interest in conveying science to non-expert audiences. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with professional science communicators through the JQI Public Affairs office and to create graphics and other media for use in an online resource about modern physics. Experience with computer-generated illustration and/or animation preferred. Students with experience in other areas such as video/audio editing and javascript frameworks (e.g. React.js) are also strongly encouraged to apply, as we have various opportunities for content design and development on this project. This position is open to all majors, but preference will be given to those with more knowledge of the physical sciences. This is a paid hourly position. Support for this position is through the Joint Quantum Institute and an NSF Advancing Informal STEM Learning grant.
