Subject: Textbook Affordability - Discussion & Resource Sharing Description: Affordable Textbook Campaign with MaryPIRG. We are a student led activist group on campus and we are hosting an event for students in McKeldin Library in room 6107 on October 24th from 6-7:30 PM The itinerary for the event consist of a short talk by a Faculty member in the Library about the ever growing cost of textbooks and the toll that it is having on students educational and personal lives. We will then segue into a open discussion led by the Affordable Textbook campaign with potential alternatives and resources that will assist students on ways to get their textbooks in ways that will lessen the financial stress.
