Description: The University Career Center will host a career shuttle to visit USDA APHIS at their Riverdale office on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 9am to 12:30 pm. This career shuttle is open to all UMD students in all majors interested in exploring careers within animal health and welfare, plant health and protection, environmental policy, and international trade to name a few. The agency also hires communications majors, business majors, economists and IT specialists. If you’re interested in the humane treatment of animals, keeping animals and plants healthy, working with wildlife, being on the cutting edge of biotechnology, or taking part in global trade negotiations, APHIS has a place for you. Or, if you have skills in writing, editing, information technology, math, business management, training and development, or human resources, there’s a place for you, too.
