Dear colleagues,

With great sadness, I wanted to share with you the news that Vince Grassi,
who served as CAST Division Chair many years ago, passed away on May 3, 2020
after a protracted battle with esophageal cancer. He was 64. Vince was an
alumnus of our department, having completed his MS and PhD degrees with
Prof. Bill Luyben
while still working full time at Air Products & Chemicals Inc.

In particular, he stood out at Lehigh as an outstanding instructor, as
indicated by the two videos that our students put together,
one before he passed away, hoping for his recovery, and one on his
memorial.

Vince is survived by his wife Kim Grassi,  daughter Christine and sister
Susan.
