Dear Colleagues, I hope this email finds you all safe and healthy in these challenging times. The CAST Executive Committee is proposing the creation of a new award, which many other AIChE divisions have: CAST Division Distinguished Service Award. Attached are two PDF files: 1) A draft description of the new award formatted to match the AIChE Award Website layout, and 2) Proposed specific amendments to Section IX (Awards) of the CAST bylaws. The CAST bylaws stipulate that "A proposed amendment and ballot shall be sent to all Division members by first-class mail or electronic communication means". Accordingly, the ballot will be included in the 2020 CAST elections for CAST officers and programming chairs.
