Subject: UMD Chapter of the Kidney Disease Screening Awareness Program Description: The Kidney Disease Screening Awareness Program (KDSAP) is coming to the University of Maryland! This organization will primarily be conducting free community outreach screenings to prevent the development of kidney disease, including taking blood pressure and glucose measurements, urine sample analysis, and more. Students will get hands-on experience working alongside a medical advisor from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and assisting medically underserved populations in the College Park area. They will also be exposed to scientific and medical professions within the field of nephrology, and raise awareness for the effects of kidney disease.
