There are 2 funded PhD positions available to start Spring 2021 or immediately (remotely) at Purdue University. The project will focus on Techno-Economic-Assessment and Life Cycle Analysis of novel energetics materials being developed at Purdue Energetics Research Center. The student(s) will be part of a big collaborative team working at different aspects of chemistry/sustainability of munitions manufacturing and disposal. Students will also get an opportunity to interact and work in close collaboration with scientists at Army Research Lab.
Qualifications : Preferred background is Undergraduate/Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. Experience with process modeling and programming, familiarity with ASPEN/ChemCad and knowledge of Python programming preferred.
Eligibility : US Citizenship required as the project is funded by US Army Research Lab.
