Subject: Violence Intervention Ambassador Program- the CARE Office Description: The CARE Office is recruiting for our brand new Violence Intervention Ambassador (VIA) Program. The VIA program is for students who are passionate about preventing sexual and relationship violence, and who are looking for a way to get involved with CARE without the significant time and academic commitment of the CARE Peer Programs. The VIA program is a 10 hour, 3 session training that will equip you with tools to recognize, respond to, and prevent power-based violence on our campus, and in our world. The first training session is Saturday, February 27th 10am-4pm, the second session is Wednesday, March 3rd 6-8pm and the final session is Tuesday, March 9th 6-8pm. Attendance of at least two sessions is mandatory for certification. Completion of the VIA program will provide you with a VIA Certification, volunteer and leadership opportunities with CARE, unique continuing education opportunities and events, professional development, and intervention skills and a community of students passionate about this issue.
