Subject: Neglected Diseases Guest Speaker Event Description: Join us on Monday, April 26th at 7pm (ter.ps/UAEM), where Dr. Greg Simon will be discussing neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) from a public health perspective and the role university students can play in advocating and working to combat these diseases. Dr. Simon has held various positions in the field, including at the Sabin Vaccine Institute, working with partner organizations such as the USAID, the World Bank, and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria to ensure funding and proper implementation of programs for Neglected Tropical Diseases. Dr. Simon is also a member of several NTD monitoring and evaluation working groups for the WHO and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
