FYI - For those interested in citizen science and wanting to do something useful with your local cicada sightings, the Maryland Ornithological Society is tracking information about birds and cicadas. In particular, they're interested in sightings of birds either eating cicadas or feeding them to their young. The results will be published in an article in Maryland Birding.
