Subject: Startup Shell Applications Extended To Monday Description: Startup Shell applications have been extended to October 4th, 2021 @ Midnight! You can find the application to join at startupshell.org/apply. We are a community of hackers, builders, entrepreneurs, and so much more. In the past year, our founders have started widely successful companies like hotglue and strive. Our fellows, who don't have companies but have specific skill sets that they bring to the community, have won prestigious research awards, worked at companies like Google and Bloomberg, and gotten involved with startups of their own. Overall, we are looking for passionate people who want to work on the world's biggest problems. As a part of our community, you get exclusive access to our physical working space (see startupshell.org), an incredible community of talented UMD students, and our commitment to helping you throughout your startup/career journey. We provide over $20K in startup resources (like AWS credits), events to teach you about cutting edge tech, and bring in successful entrepreneurs as mentors. We are currently located in the MTech building but will be moving to the IDEA Factory in a few months. The new space will have machine learning rigs, AR/VR equipment, servers, espresso machines, work stations, and so much more. We are also having a side-project hackathon/work day this Saturday from 11am to 5pm! Come through to see what our community is all about and to have some food while you work!
