Katherine Anne Porter Archive Student Assistant - Hornbake Library

Special Collections & University Archives is hiring a student assistant to
work closely with staff overseeing the Katherine Anne Porter papers. The
University of Maryland Libraries house the primary archive for Katherine
Anne Porter (1890-1980). Porter is known primarily for her short stories
and novel, *Ship of Fools*, but also published nonfiction.


Responsibilities include creating metadata and preparing materials for the
Katherine Anne Porter digitization project, creating an inventory of book
annotations in the collection, social media/outreach, and other special
projects.



Applicants should have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain
a consistent schedule of 10-20 hours per week. Graduate and undergraduate
students are encouraged to apply.
