Katherine Anne Porter Archive Student Assistant - Hornbake Library

Special Collections & University Archives is hiring a student assistant to work closely with staff overseeing the Katherine Anne Porter papers. The University of Maryland Libraries house the primary archive for Katherine Anne Porter (1890-1980). Porter is known primarily for her short stories and novel, Ship of Fools, but also published nonfiction. 


Responsibilities include creating metadata and preparing materials for the Katherine Anne Porter digitization project, creating an inventory of book annotations in the collection, social media/outreach, and other special projects.

 

Applicants should have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain a consistent schedule of 10-20 hours per week. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
