Historian Hannah Byrne and Director Tamar Evangelestia-Dougherty will share little-known stories from our library and archival collections of historical women at work in STEAM, who, in many cases, dealt with other critical moments in history. Then, Smithsonian Under Secretary for Science and Research Ellen Stofan will moderate a panel of leaders from the Biden administration and Deloitte to discuss their experiences and understanding of the modern circumstances of women at work and how we can continue to make progress.
