Subject: Pre-Health Global Brigades Volunteer Application Description: Global Brigades is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting health disparities within under-resourced communities across the world. Our chapter is a student-led UMD version of the national organization, and our work is currently centered in Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Greece. Throughout the year we hold workshops, learn about public health issues surrounding global communities, hold fundraisers, and meet with frontline workers across the globe. In the summer, we will travel to a refugee center in Athens for a total of 10 days. Get experience shadowing clinicians and exercising ethical volunteering practices! Fill out our membership application form due on Dec 17th at 11:59 PM to become a volunteer today!
