Dear Dr. Shireen Keyl,

We hope this email finds you well. We write in the hopes that you can share the following opportunity with the Critical Peace Education (SIG) listserv.

Editors Dr. Kevin Lawrance Henry and Dr. Shameka Powell of the Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Social Justice, Volume 1: Race and Ethnicity, are accepting proposals for their volume.

The editors-in-chief for the overall 10-volume encyclopedia are Dr. Maisha T. Winn and Dr. Lawrence T. Winn of the University of California, Davis. Written by scholars worldwide, The Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Social Justice in Education will provide the first comprehensive and authoritative mapping of this dynamic field. With 1000 entries presented across ten volumes, this is the first reference work that historicizes, analyzes, and offers expansive resources on the theory and practice of social justice in education. The ten volumes cover:

  1. Race and Ethnicity

  2. Political and Social Movements

  3. Research Methods

  4. Teaching and Teacher Education

  5. Early Childhood/s and Childhood Studies

  6. Language, Literacy, Youth and Culture

  7. Gender and Sexuality

  8. Bodies and Different Abilities

  9. Restorative Justice

  10. International and Global Education

We aim to recruit seminal scholars in this field to contribute to our Race and Ethnicity volume, and thus, we would be delighted if we receive proposals on any of the following key terms: Segregnomics, Stratification, Affirmative Action. However, we are also looking for other terms, and welcome new term submissions.

Please submit proposals with this linked FORM.  If accepted, you will receive monetary compensation between $50-$75 for a 3,000-word contribution.  Further details will be provided to contributing authors.

If you are unable to contribute, please feel free to suggest alternative authors. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes and warmest regards,

Kevin Lawrence Henry, Jr., PhD
